All games are scheduled by North Coast Basketball Officials Association

All games will be officiated by North Coast Officials. Games will be two 20-minute running halves. The last two minutes of each half will be stop time. If a team has a 20-point or greater lead the clock will continue to run the last two minutes of the game. Time-outs and injuries will be stop time. Half times will be 4 minutes. First and second overtimes will be 2 minutes of stop time and the third over time will be sudden death. No player can play on more than one team within the same division.

TIE-BREAKER Rule: 3 Team Pool – A tie within a pool will be broken based on the least points allowed in the two Saturday games combined. 4 Team Pool – Is played out like a 4 Team Bracket. Due to gym space availability, you will not play all 3 teams in your pool. Two teams play then the two winners play and the two losers play. The winners (of the first games on Saturday) will be 1st & 2nd place in the pool. The two losers (of the first games on Saturday) will be 3rd & 4th place in the pool. You must win your first game in order to place 1st or 2nd in the pool.

Seaside Basketball Tournaments provide scorekeepers for the book and clock. These scorekeepers are high school athletes working to raise funds for their activities. You are welcome to sit at the score table and be a friendly assistant to our official bookkeeper and work together to make certain everything is accurate. If there is a discrepancy then ask the clock keeper to buzz the horn to signal referee at the time of the question. High School Tournament exception: each team will provide 1 bookkeeper or 1 clock worker per game to sit at the score table. Those workers will receive a free admission band for the day that they work.

Five minutes warm up period between games.

7th and 8th grade boys will use a men’s size ball. 5th and 6th grade boys and all girls will use a women’s size ball.

What does “open level” mean? – Any team can sign up for an open level team but please be aware that most teams that sign up for open level tournaments are gold level teams. What does a B Level and Small School Mean ? – Teams that qualify for these type of tournaments are teams that feed into a 4A or smaller high school OR a second team (B team) of a bigger high school (5A or 6A).
