PACIFIC BASKETBALL LEAGUE YOUTH BASKETBALL PROGRAM

For Girls in grades 1-6 & Boys in grades 1-6 in the 2026-27 school year

League Information

1. The Pacific Basketball League (PBL) is a non-profit organization designed to provide extracurricular basketball activities for Seaside area youth.

2. The PBL season begins Monday, November 2, 2026 and concludes Saturday, December 12, 2026.

3. Athletes are randomly placed on a team and coached by a volunteer parent. Practices will be at Sunset Recreation Center one or two afternoons or evenings per week.

4. Games will be played at Sunset Rec Center on each consecutive Saturday between November 7 and December 12, 2026 (exception is November 28, Thanksgiving Holiday). Locations of games will be at Sunset Rec Center.

5. The PBL is primarily a volunteer organization and needs parent volunteer help during the league season. If your child is to play you must sign up to volunteer when turning in your registration form and fee. Background check required for coach and assistant coach volunteers.

6. Scholarships are available through written request. Please email kkjanuik@gmail.com for more information.

7. Tournament team information will be available in December. Please ask your coach at that time for more information if you would like your child to continue to play through March.

8. Your child’s coach will be in contact with you the week of October 26, 2026 to give you practice times and locations.

Player Information

Uniforms: PBL uses an authentic, mesh, reversible, tank basketball jersey to be used year after year and can be passed down to other future players. Every player will need to wear a jersey in the games. Jerseys are $30 and if you need one then you can purchase on Saturday game days prior to your game time. Please show up to your child’s game 20 minutes early in order to purchase a team uniform if you do not already have one. Every child must have a uniform to participate.
